Under this theme, candidates can present application of mathematics in different disciplines e.g. solving problems in medical science, physics, finance, computer science or any other area of applied nature. They should discuss the problem and the mathematical concepts and techniques utilized in solving the considered problem. Candidates will be judged for overall presentation, mathematical content, linkages of math concepts with the considered problem etc

The Team

  • Two teams will be competing against each other in an exciting game of soccer. You • will witness participants demonstrating skills in programming, robotics, electronics, • and mechatronics. The team with the most goals wins.
  • Maximum 3 members allowed.
  • There will be a 1v1 futsal competition
    The Robots:
    Size and Weight:
  • The robot must fit in a box of 15 cm x 15 cm at the start of a match (may open up attachments that do not increase the size of the robot beyond 20 cm x 20 cm)
  • There is no limit to the height of the robot.
  • The Robot must not weigh more than 1.5 Kg including the battery.
  • The robot must remain a single unit during the contest.
  • The size of the arena is 6 x 4 feet.
    Cost:
    There is no restriction on the cost of the robot.
    Robot Restrictions:
  • Parts that could break or damage the ring are not allowed. Do not use parts that are intended to damage the opponent’s robot or its operator. Normal pushes and bangs are not considered intent to damage.
  • You must use a microcontroller.
  • Devices that can store liquid, powder, gas, or other substances for throwing at the opponent are not allowed.
  • Any device that causes a fire flame is not allowed.
  • Devices that throw things at your opponent are not allowed.
  • Sticky substances to improve traction are not allowed.
    Scoring:
  • You must push the ball to your respective goal to achieve the points. The team with the highest score wins.
  • Negative marking can be considered if your robot damages the other robot.
  • Each goal scored by a team will fetch the team 1 point.
  • You are not allowed to touch the robot during the competition.
  • There will be two round of 2 minutes.
  • Any team that is not ready or available at the time specified (Relaxations are possible, according to the situation) will be eliminated from the competition.
  • The Competition Head/Competition team has the right to disqualify any team in any case. • Judges will analyze performance. Results will be final and unobjectionable.
  • The detailed dimensions of the goal post and D line will be uploaded.
  • In case of any discrepancy the final decision rests in the hands of the judges.
  • Any act of misbehavior or misconduct will lead to immediate disqualification of the team. • ▪ The competition is aimed at making the game a friendly football match rather.

The Teams:

  • Two teams will compete against each other at a time.
  • Maximum three members allowed.
    The Robots:
    The goal of the contest is to design an autonomous line follower robot that can move fast on a predefined track. Image processing-based systems are prohibited. The robot completing the track in the shortest time wins. Robot must stay on the track throughout the race.
    Size and Weight: • The length, width, and weight of a robot are not specified in this contest. The only requirement is that the robot must remain on the course during the event. It is the designers’ responsibility to design the robot to accomplish its task.
    Restrictions:
  • Maximum height not specified, but robots deemed harmful, or damaging are not permitted. • Robots must be autonomous; human-operated remote controls are not allowed.
    Competition Guidelines:
  • All robots must be in working condition and ready to run at the start of the contest. • Running order randomly will be assigned.
  • Route maps will be shared on the website a day prior to the competition.
  • Contestants may perform quick calibration before starting the run.
    • Timing begins when the robot crosses the "START" line.
  • No touching the track or interfering with robots once a match has started.

Rules and Regulations

Students will make mobile App controlled Sumo Robots and compete against each other to win a seeded tournament (see Figure at the end of this category) like contest. Similar to traditional Sumo wrestling the contesting robots will try to push each other off the ring (Dohyo). Teams will be randomly selected to compete against each other and winning teams from each round will qualify for the next round.
The Arena (Dohyo):

  • The Dohyo will be circular in shape with a diameter of 1.2 meter (5% tolerance).
  • The Dohyo will be made of Chip Board and will be flat.
  • The Dohyo will be painted black with a white circle to mark the edge of the ring.
    The Robots
    Size and Weight:
  • The robot must fit in a box of 15 cm x 15 cm at the start of a match (may open up attachments that do not increase the size of the robot beyond 20 cm x 20 cm)
  • There is no limit for the height of the robot.

    Penalties:
  • 3 Yuhkoh points will be deducted if the robot exceeds the dimensions by more than 5% but is within 10% of the maximum limit in any dimension.
  • Team will be disqualified if the robot exceeds by more than 10% of the maximum limit in any dimension.
  • 5 Yuhkoh points will be deducted if the robot exceeds the weight limit by more than 5% but is within 10%.
  • Team will be disqualified if the robot exceeds the weight limit by more than 10%.
    The Teams:
    The contestants will register as teams. Each team will consist of a maximum of 3 members. Each team will choose a name for registration and will designate one member as the team lead. All the official communication with the team will be through the team lead
    How to Carry Sumo Matches:
  • One match shall consist of 3 rounds, within a total time of 3 minutes, unless extended by the judges. • The team which wins two rounds, within the time limit, shall win the match.
  • When the match is not won by either team within the time limit, an extended match may be fought, during which the team who receives the first Yuhkoh point shall win. Alternatively, the winner/loser of
  • the match may be decided by judges, by means of lots, or by a rematch.
  • One Yuhkoh point shall be given to the winner when the judges' decision was called for or lots were employed.
    Scoring:
    One Yuhkoh point shall be given when:
  • A team legally forces the body of the opposing robot to touch the space outside the ring, which includes the side of the ring itself.
  • The opposing robot has touched the space outside the ring on its own. When a wheeled robot has fallen over on the ring or in similar conditions, Yuhkoh will not be counted, and the match continues.

  • Rules & Fouls:
    • The robot violating any of the rules described in the Rulebook will be disqualified
      from the competition or forced to restart the robot from the START tile.
    • Any kind of touch by a human that affects the robot direction or speed will cause a
      fault state and force the team to restart from the START tile.
      Code of Conduct :
    • Fair Play
    • Robots that cause deliberate interference with other robots or damage to the field will
      be disqualified.
    • Humans that cause deliberate interference with robots or damage to the field will be

  • It is expected that the aim of all teams is to play a fair and clean game.
    Behavior:
    Participants who misbehave may be asked to leave the competition area and risk being
    disqualified from the contest. The rules will be enforced at the discretion of the Judges,
    Referees and Officials.

    • You can use any base/chassis
    • The dimensions of the chassis should not exceed 8" x 8"

Street Fighter (Typically Street Fighter V) - General Tournament Rules • Match Format:

  • Matches are usually best-of-three rounds.
  • In later stages of the tournament (like semi-finals and finals), matches might be best-of-five.
  • Round Time:
  • Each round typically lasts 99 seconds.
  • Character Selection:
  • Players are generally free to choose any character.

Double Elimination Format: Matches are best of 3 rounds.

  1. Character Selection: Players can change characters for each match.
  2. Stage Selection: Stage selection will be random.
  3. Time Limit: Matches have a time limit of 60 seconds per round.
  4. In-Game Settings: Players can assign buttons to any actions except for rage arts/ rage drives. 6. Disconnections: Entire set will restart if any controller is disconnected.
  5. Sportsmanship: Players are expected to show good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Any form of cheating, unsportsmanlike conduct, or harassment will result in disqualification.
  6. Controller Issues: Players are responsible for ensuring their controller is functioning properly. If a controller malfunctions during a match, the affected player may request a pause to fix the issue. Players can bring their own controllers.
  7. Reporting: Players must report match results to the tournament organizer promptly. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  8. Final Decisions: The tournament organizer's decisions are final in all matters related to the tournament, including disputes and rule interpretations.

a. First Round:

  • First round will be mcqs based test. Where participants have to attempt 30 mcqs and top 5 participants will be selected for round two. MCQs Details: questions will be physics based, minimum FSC student can attempt these questions. b. Second Round:
  • Second round will be buzzer based, where selected 5 candidates have to answer questions. Firstly, every 5 participants have to answer 5 questions which will be individual based. And the top 3 candidates who have answered all 5 questions correctly will be able to play this final round. Then we will move towards buzzer part where three candidates will compete by answering question using buzzer. It’ll be composed of 20 questions. Questions will be physics, astronomy based.

These rules and regulations that must be followed by both the Online Qualifiers as well On Campus stage.

  • There must be at least 3 and maximum 4 people in a team.
  • This CTF is Jeopardy Style CTF.
  • Following categories exists for this CTF:

    o Misc
  • Each category would have 3 different difficulty levels:
    o Easy - 50-100 points
    o Medium - 150-200 points

  • Selection Process:
    An online round will precede the physical event to select teams eligible to participate. Not all teams who participated during the online round will proceed to the physical round, ensuring a streamlined and competitive selection process.
  • NOTE: All challenges are completely solvable, the mentality of TRY HARDER may help. 1. The time schedule must be STRICTLY followed as the flag submission would close after the time is reached.
  • In case of two teams having the same score; although the platform manages it on its own, but just to be sure, the time would be matched and the team that got that a certain amount of points the fastest, would be declared the winner.
  • You are NOT allowed to share the flags with anyone. If found cheating, the team will be DISQUALIFIED on spot.
  • Any sort of communication (whether it be WHATSAPP, DISCORD or anything) is strongly prohibited, if found, the team will be DISQUALIFIED on spot.
  • Attacking the CTF Platform is STRICTLY PROHIBITED, in case someone is found doing so, they will be immediately disqualified, and legal action may be taken against them.
  • You are NOT ALLOWED to attack any other team/person, if found, you will be disqualified.
  • NO Challenge requires any sort of brute-forcing, if someone is found brute-forcing, First they’ll be warned and then they will be disqualified. (Brute-forcing include use of Hydra to crack SSH Credentials, use of Go buster to find a certain subdomain/directory, etc.)
  • Number of teams qualifying may vary but at least the TOP 20 teams should be certain that they have qualified for the On-Campus finale.
  • NO ACCOMMODATION will be provided by CUI Tech for CTF. The teams qualifying and coming from different cities have to manage it themselves.
  • The decision of the administrative authorities would be FINAL.
  • After the final round, the complete solution/write-up of each challenge would be shared on our Discord server.
  • Each team and user will have their own dedicated instances of challenges with flags being dynamically generated in each of them.

  • All the teams will have their seats & desks marked with their team name to avoid confusion. (Ushers will guide them)

  • Chat GPT, Bard will be fully allowed. No restrictions upon the teams.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Teams would be given a theme or general problem, and they would implement their ideas to solve that problem with a mobile application
  • During the competition, participants are not allowed to go outside the university premises. The theme for the application will be given on the spot, and a time span of 3-4hours will be given to build the website.
  • Teams must bring their own laptops.
  • Teams are required to use GitHub for performance tracking throughout the competition. • The competition organizers will be providing the internet to download and use resources. However, participants are requested to bring their own internet in order to avoid any sort of inconvenience.
  • Teams can’t view the score sheets that are used for judging the applications.
  • A team can create the app for Android or iOS platforms.
  • Native app development using Android Studio, Swift, Objective-C, React Native, Flutter, etc. is allowed.
  • Hybrid app development tools like Cordova and Xamarin are not allowed.
  • There will be a 5-minute presentation of the application to the judges.
  • Participants are required to be there at the time of the evaluation. Failure to appear before the judge at the time of evaluation will automatically disqualify the project from the competition.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and cannot be challenged. If any team keeps arguing with the host team on this matter, they will be disqualified.
  • Teams should bring their own converters for the projectors so that their presentations can go smoothly. • Any sort of unfair means, collaboration, or discussion between two different teams may result in immediate disqualification from the competition.
  • Disqualification from the competition also means escorting out of competition venues, and a note will be sent to their respective institutes.
  • The organizers reserve the right to modify the above-mentioned rules and regulations without prior notice. However, a notice will be placed on top of this document. So read the document at least one day before leaving for the competitions.
