Under this theme, candidates can present application of mathematics in different disciplines e.g. solving problems in medical science, physics, finance, computer science or any other area of applied nature. They should discuss the problem and the mathematical concepts and techniques utilized in solving the considered problem. Candidates will be judged for overall presentation, mathematical content, linkages of math concepts with the considered problem etc

Students will make mobile App controlled Sumo Robots and compete against each other to win a seeded tournament (see Figure at the end of this category) like contest. Similar to traditional Sumo wrestling the contesting robots will try to push each other off the ring (Dohyo). Teams will be randomly selected to compete against each other and winning teams from each round will qualify for the next round.
